How The Golden Tavern works
A short tour of the site: what is public, what needs an account, and where the guild tools live.
Two halves of one site
The Golden Tavern is both a journal for World of Warcraft: Forever and a home for The Golden Tavern. News, Guides and Raid composition are open to everyone. The guild tools help our members organise their teams and play together, with access based on guild membership and team responsibilities.
Small teams, one guild
The Golden Tavern brings small groups of friends and raid teams together under one guild banner. Each team keeps its own identity, play style, raid leader and schedule. The wider guild gives everyone more people to play with and somewhere to ask for help. When a team is short a player, another team can lend a hand if the player and both teams agree.
What you can see without an account
News covers Forever with clear sources, while Guides collect practical information. Raid composition lets anyone try a line-up and explore its buffs. Public team pages show schedules, play styles and open roles, and you can see who leads each team. Member profiles and private rosters stay behind the appropriate access.
What a login adds
Anyone can create an account, set up a profile and join the community forum. Guild access is granted separately. Guild members can apply to teams, respond to invitations and see their own team's roster and raids. Approved raid leaders can manage up to five teams, supported by up to two helpers each. Their permissions cover their own teams, not the wider guild.
Planning together
The website and Discord are intended to work together. Raid leaders and their helpers should be able to create raids from either the website or the TGT bot in Discord, with linked sign-ups and updates appearing in both places. Each team has its own space, while the guild shares an overview of upcoming raids.
How publishing works here
Nothing reaches News or Guides automatically. AI helps collect source material and prepare drafts, but a person reviews and approves each article before publication. Sources and uncertainties are recorded for review. Editing an approved article sends it back for another check.
